“Where does our company originate?”

LaserCom traded under various names as a relatively small print bureau in Johannesburg for a few years.

A brief historical timeline below shows the journey to becoming LaserCom Print & Mail and acquiring PaperGeni: LaserCom Print & Mail has grown from strength to strength to become one of South Africa’s largest print & mail bureaus. Excellent supplier partnerships have been formed with other companies, all recognized experts in their chosen fields, in order to provide the full spectrum of seamless services that add true value to LaserCom Print & Mail service delivery.

LaserCom Print & Mail ‘s  has also grown and expanded with the manufacture of paper tally rolls for ATM machines and retail outlets and a range of printer cartridges for desktop printers (products that were previously sold through the Office Supplies Division of Bytes Document Solutions).

LaserCom purpose is helping our customers communicate with their customers and our value proposition is not only to do that as cost-effectively as possible – but also to help our customers increase their customer retention and extract more business from their existing customers through up-selling and cross-selling.

As Divisions of Bytes Technology Group SA, the foremost provider of IT Products & Services in Sub-Saharan Africa, LaserCom looks forward to further improvements in our service and value-added delivery to our existing and future customers.

A management buy-out in 1993 resulted in the formation of Laser Facilities 1999 Xerox SA (now Bytes Document Solutions) bought the business In 2000 an important milestone was reached when Kagiso Investments become a 27% owner of Bytes Technology Group. We are proud to be associated with this respected organisation and it also makes us a truly South African company In december 2007 Laser Facilities purchased PaperGeni the specialist envelope manufacturer March 2009 Laser Facilities changed its name to LaserCom after embarking on an extensive and exciting journy of self-assessment to understand the business we are in and more importantly knowing more clearly where we are headed
